Description

Changing your grip size is now as easy as replacing your grip. From a standard grip, you can go down one size (-1), up one size (+1), or up 2 sizes (+2). If you like your grip size and just want to refresh your grip's feel, use the (0) to keep it the same size. For more technical information, changing your grip with the +/- Grip only adds 2 grams per size! Compared with the traditional way of building up a grip with a sleeve that adds 20 grams, your racquet's balance will not change. No special sleeve or heat gun needed, just take off the old grip and put on a +/- Grip.

1 Grip Size = 1/8"
  • -1 =reduce 1 size
  • 0 = no size change
  • +1 = increase 1 size
  • +2 = increase 2 sizes
Master Athletics +/- Grip is made of a slightly tacky microporous PU for superior feel, perforated surface absorbs moisture, while its cushioned grip backing provides great comfort.
TIME SAVING: Increasing or decreasing a grip size can take over 10 minutes and can add as much as 20 grams of weight to a racquet or paddle. The Master Athletic ±Grip can increase or decrease the grip size in under 2 minutes and only adds as much as 2 grams (for +2 grip).
INJURY PREVENTION: Choosing the correct grip size is crucial for preventing injuries like tennis elbow. A grip that is too small forces you to grip tighter, while a grip that is too large can put excessive stress on the forearm.
INDIVIDUAL PREFERENCE: Ultimately, the best grip size comes down to personal preference and what feels most comfortable and natural for your hand and playing style.
IMPROVED MANEUVERABILITY: A smaller grip can make the racquet feel lighter and easier to maneuver, which is beneficial for quick reactions at the net and when hitting shots on the run.
HAND SIZE: A Common guideline is that when holding the racquet with an Eastern forehand grip, you should be able to fit the index finger of your non-hitting hand between your ring finger and the base of your palm. If there's too much or no space, the grip size may not be right.
